Dear Students,

Attached please find our handbook for the upcoming summer semester for all International exchange students, with information on studying and living in Mainz. Our
on-line application portal is available until December 15th. Previous versions of the handbook are herewith obsolete.


Detailed information can be found in the handbook and a step-by step instruction how to proceed after registration is also attached. For your course
nominations please refer to the module description and fill-out the subject nomination form.

The application is quite simple:

apply on MailScanner has detected a possible fraud attempt from "fh-mz.de" claiming to be http://hs-mz.de/onlineexchangeapplication
fill out the form - do not forget the link to your portfolio

after your application you will be prompted to register (please do so!)

complete your personal data

fill out your subject nomination form (refer to the module descriptions)
the subject nomination form must be signed by you and your coordinator
print your application form, sign it and have it signed by your coordinator
upload the documents as described in "Mobility Online steps"

Your learning agreement will then be issued according to your subject nomination and it will be sent to you together with the acceptance letter.

Information on housing  is available in the handbook. The housing application procedure also has to be done on-line. Responsible is the student service http://www.studierendenwerk-mainz.de/wohnen/apply/?L=3

Please note that Mainz has a very strained housing market and we strongly recommend to apply for a place in one of the student dorms. The landlord (Studierendenwerk Mainz) guarantees an accommodation if you apply before December 15th.

You should apply even if you haven't got your acceptance letter, yet. This application is not binding and it is far easier to reject an offer, than to get a place with a late application!

As for communication design students please note that bookbinding and screen printing will be offered only during the week from on March 06, 2017 !!!
It will not be possible to opt in this class during the semester.

For all other students the summer semester will start the introduction week March 13, 2017.  Further information will follow in January/February.
